The popular streamer known as Dr.Disrespect is still making waves since his permanent ban from twitch on June 26, 2020, for unknown reasons.
In the months of August into September, there was a Call of Duty: Warzone tournament run by Vikkstar, hence the name “Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown” which was a high profile tournament that consisted of Call of Duty professionals as well as top streamers.
The problems began when Dr.Disrespect got into the same game and lobby as Nadeshot and Crimsix.
According to Twitch’s Terms of Service, you are not allowed to play with any banned streamers or have them on your stream in any way otherwise you could possibly face a ban yourself. You can probably see where this is going…
Nadeshot and Crimisix did not only not mute the Dr., but held conversation with him knowing this could lead them into trouble with Twitch. Many high profile Twitch streamers have debated testing their luck by playing with Dr.Disrespect but not many have followed through with it.
As of September 28, 2020, Twitch has issued a statement to clarify the Suspension Evasion Policy to the following:
“We’ve updated our guidance in the Community Guidelines to clarify our policies around suspension evasion. We understand that there may be instances where suspended users appear on your steam due to circumstance beyond your control, but we expect you to make a good faith effort to remove them from your broadcast, mute them, or otherwise limit their interactions with your stream.”Twitch Streaming Services
Will streamers continue to test their luck with Twitch staff? What are your thoughts?
